FICO, the company behind the industry-standard consumer credit score, processes and analyzes about 10 PB of historical and real-time data to evaluate credit risk for millions of people and serve 95% of U.S. financial institutions. That scale — combined with strict needs for availability, accuracy, security, and regulatory compliance — created performance, storage-cost, and data-protection challenges for its analytics and score-distribution systems.

FICO adopted NetApp solutions (AFF A300/A700 with ONTAP, OnCommand Insight, Active IQ) to move to all‑flash storage and gain granular data management, encryption, replication, and service-level controls.
