EOH Cloud Services Selects NetApp Clustered Data ONTAP to Provide Customers with Unlimited Cloud Experience

EOH Cloud Services, a division of South African IT leader EOH, launched in 2012 to deliver scalable, fully managed hybrid cloud infrastructure and quickly grew to serve more than 180 external businesses, earning a Frost & Sullivan customer‑value award. Rapid customer adoption exposed limits in capacity, performance, and scalability, so the team needed a storage platform that could deliver higher uptime, flexible tiering, and nondisruptive growth to take the business to the next level.

EOH migrated from older NetApp gear to a 4‑node NetApp FAS8040 cluster running clustered Data ONTAP, keeping management simple and enabling live data movement. The new platform delivered nondisruptive operations, multitiered storage options, and on‑demand scalability, while improving performance by 35%, reducing raw storage needs via 40% deduplication and heavy gains from thin provisioning, and laying the groundwork for multi‑site expansion and new cloud services.
