Energija Plus Ramps up IT and SAP HANA as Services with Unistar PRO.cloud Supported by NetApp

Unistar LC (Unistar PRO.cloud), a leading Slovenian ICT provider, needed a scalable, cost‑efficient platform to expand its hosted and managed services while complying with strict national and EU data‑protection rules. The company aimed to give customers cloud access and introduce new offerings—most notably SAP HANA as a service—without relying on foreign public clouds.

Unistar deployed NetApp FAS systems with clustered Data ONTAP, OnCommand management, Flash Pool, Snapshot and SnapMirror across two Slovenian data centers to build a hybrid “made in Slovenia” cloud. The solution delivered a three‑week time to production for SAP HANA services, secure multitenancy, lower storage costs, simplified multisite data management via the NetApp Data Fabric, strong SLA protection (avoiding €40,000/day outage exposure), and enabled customers like Energija Plus to run ERP and analytics reliably while positioning Unistar for growth.
