Damecon Takes Storage-Based Cloud Services to the Next Level

Damecon is a Dutch IT service provider supporting customers across healthcare, government, finance and other regulated industries that require near‑zero downtime. Facing rapid customer growth, Damecon needed a unified, scalable backup-as-a-service that would handle diverse platforms, improve data tiering and workload placement, and do so with minimal operational impact.

Damecon deployed a NetApp-based solution—E-Series with SANtricity, AltaVault, StorageGRID and SnapCenter—to deliver protocol- and platform‑independent backups, deduplication, compression and encryption. The result is a low‑cost (€0.05/GB), nondisruptive, highly scalable service with simplified operations, flexible tiering (on‑premises or hyperscaler archival), higher SLAs and enterprise-grade resiliency.
