Australia-based Consultel Cloud, the cloud services division of a 20+-year telecommunications and IT consultancy, supports customers across banking, healthcare, retail and more. As clients rapidly adopted cloud services they ran into unexpected cost, performance and security problems—sometimes facing bills of $90,000 a month—and Consultel’s original infrastructure became a costly bottleneck.

Consultel rebuilt its platform on NetApp HCI deployed in Equinix data centers, giving customers secure access to more than 180 clouds while keeping data inside Equinix for sovereignty and performance. The move cut storage costs by about 50%, shortened new-environment deployment from seven to four weeks, eliminated SLA issues, and positioned the company for rapid global growth (projected 25–30%).
