CODERE, a Madrid-based multinational in private gaming that operates tens of thousands of terminals, hundreds of gaming halls and sports-betting venues across Europe and Latin America, needed to speed up its sports-betting applications and adopt a versatile, easy-to-manage platform to support ongoing technology innovation and growth.

CODERE deployed the NetApp EF-Series EF550 high-performance array (extreme IOPS, sub‑millisecond response, up to 12 GB/s bandwidth) to consolidate its VMware/Windows/SQL environment. The result was higher reliability and throughput (more bets processed per second), reduced server and database costs, improved availability and data protection, faster scaling and real‑time changes, and the ability to roll out new services such as a mobile remote-betting app—boosting customer satisfaction and financial returns.
