Coca-Cola Central Bottling Co. Improves Efficiency and Performance with HCI

The Coca‑Cola Central Bottling Co. (CBC) — Israel’s largest beverage and dairy producer — was held back by aging compute and storage systems that caused high latency, unreliable servers, slow backups, and delays in application development, manufacturing, and distribution. With growing market demand, CBC needed a fast, reliable, and efficient infrastructure to support 24/7 operations and scale quickly.

CBC deployed NetApp HCI (initial systems for its DMZ and Tara dairy plant, plus a third for Citrix VDI), with rapid weekend installations and easy VMware integration. The results: latency fell from 120 ms to 1 ms, IOPS rose to 50,000, uptime reached 100%, restores moved from hours to minutes, footprint shrank 90% (42u to 4u), hardware and electricity costs dropped ~50%, storage efficiency improved 27x, and Citrix VDI wait times for 6,000 users were cut by more than half—delivering guaranteed performance and faster time to market.
