Cirrity is an Atlanta-based, channel-only cloud services provider that delivers secure IaaS and cloud-based business continuity/DR to consultants, VARs, and managed service providers. Facing strict customer requirements, Cirrity needed to guarantee a 100% uptime SLA, standardize on a scalable, efficient data center platform to support growth, and minimize storage management for a lean IT team.

Cirrity standardized on a FlexPod converged infrastructure (NetApp + Cisco + VMware), migrating to NetApp FAS3220/3240 and adding FAS3250 systems running clustered Data ONTAP 8.2.1 with OnCommand management, Data ONTAP Edge, LDAP-over-SSL, and storage QoS. The result: a unified six-node cluster that enables nondisruptive operations, continuous data access during hardware changes, live workload mobility for load balancing and capacity rebalance, guaranteed IOPS to prevent performance degradation, reduced management overhead and costs, and new DR and service opportunities.
