Cambridge Consultants, a technology-based consulting leader, builds AI-driven solutions—from medical imaging to autonomous systems—through its Digital Greenhouse research lab. To train advanced deep-learning models like SharpWave and BacillAi, the company needed exceptional, low-latency access to tens of terabytes of data and millions of random reads, a requirement that was creating compute and storage bottlenecks for simultaneous research teams.

To solve this, Cambridge Consultants partnered with NetApp, NVIDIA, and Scan Computers to deploy an ONTAP AI solution with NetApp AFF A300 all-flash storage feeding NVIDIA DGX supercomputers. The upgrade delivered petaflop-scale on-site compute, high-throughput access for massive datasets, efficient cloning for thousands of daily VMs, and the scalability to accelerate model training—enabling faster innovation across 400+ projects a year and supporting advanced AI applications in healthcare, agriculture, and autonomous systems.
