Bynet Launches Secure Managed File Services Offering Based on CTERA Enterprise File Services Platform and Netapp Object Storage

Bynet Group, an Israeli integrator founded in 1975, provides data communications, computing and telecommunications services to enterprises and resellers. Facing employees’ use of unprotected file-sharing and cloud-sync tools — which created security, privacy and performance gaps — Bynet needed a cost-effective, non-intrusive way to offer resellers and customers secure backup, local high-speed access, file sync-and-share and business continuity.

Bynet deployed the CTERA Enterprise File Services Platform on NetApp StorageGRID Webscale, running its own multi-tenant instance and using the CTERA Portal for centralized management of remote sites and mobile users. The solution delivered converged data protection, sync/share and mobile collaboration to enterprises and resellers, enabled white-label services, aligned OPEX with revenue, and provides scalable support (up to tens of billions of objects) for future growth and compliance.
