A NetApp Case Study
Société Générale, a global bank founded in 1864, launched the Digital for All (D4A) program to accelerate digital transformation—revamping collaboration, speeding time‑to‑market and supporting 140,000 employees across 32 countries with 90,000 tablets and 8,000 Wi‑Fi hotspots. The bank needed to scale infrastructure and data management to support dozens of business apps and growing storage and transaction loads while maintaining performance, availability and fast troubleshooting across geographies.
NetApp deployed All Flash FAS storage and OnCommand Insight to provide rapid infrastructure rollout, end‑to‑end visibility, advanced analytics and anomaly detection. The solution enabled proactive risk detection, easier root‑cause identification, managed load peaks and minimized downtime—supporting 45 business apps to date and improving employee and customer service as Société Générale advances toward its digital‑first vision.
