Atmosera, a Portland-based managed cloud and IaaS provider, needed to deliver consistently responsive, highly available service for demanding customer workloads—especially virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) and database batch processing—while maintaining competitive SLAs and supporting mission-critical applications across private and hybrid cloud environments.

Atmosera integrated NetApp EF-Series flash arrays into its existing NetApp SAN and VMware environment to deliver much lower latency and higher I/O. The deployment is simple and fast, and produced strong results: up to a 20% increase in revenue potential, Microsoft Dynamics backups cut by 90%, SQL Server batch jobs up to twice as fast, VDI logins six times faster (with application loads reduced by ~70% for a key customer), and more than six hours of combined employee productivity saved each day—enabling better SLAs and higher customer satisfaction.
