Algorithm SAL, a regional pharmaceutical company based in Lebanon, faced rapidly growing data and unreliable local infrastructure—frequent power outages and slow, costly internet—so nightly backups increasingly failed and tape-based DR routines left data at risk. The IT team needed an affordable five-year solution that would deliver fast, reliable backups, effective deduplication, and integrated DR while preserving existing SAN investments.

Working with Triple C, Algorithm deployed NetApp FAS systems with Data ONTAP and NetApp Snapshot/SnapVault plus Veeam for unified backup management, moving file and Exchange data onto NetApp while keeping Oracle on the SAN. The result: backups are 75% faster, restores complete in about one minute, three snapshots run daily, storage needs dropped (≈50% for files, ≈27% for Exchange), data-loss risk was minimized, investment in SAN and mail-archiving was postponed, and the company gained a resilient, future-proof platform for further consolidation.
