National Utilities Company, a top-five UK utilities provider serving 12 million customers, faced a growing bot threat that exposed PII, billing data, PLC/SCADA networks and smart metering to abuse. After an initial vendor assessment failed to flag urgent issues, the organisation engaged Netacea and its Intent Analytics solution to gain deeper visibility across its website, mobile apps and APIs.

Netacea ran a Proof of Value deploying its machine-learning driven Intent Analytics engine to monitor traffic, identify five core bot threats (fake account creation, credential stuffing, account takeover, website scraping and payment systems abuse) and tune protections across all customer channels.
