Michigan Community Action Takes Action - Moving to Abila MIP and Net at Work

Michigan Community Action, a nonprofit member service network in Okemos, Michigan, had outgrown QuickBooks and was spending too much time manually pulling and reworking financial data. Lacking integration with other systems, the team faced duplicate data entry, reporting inefficiencies, and limited fund accounting and control capabilities. Net at Work was brought in to help implement a better nonprofit accounting solution, Abila MIP Fund Accounting.

Net at Work configured Abila MIP Fund Accounting and built integrations to streamline MCA’s workflows, including payroll and bank data imports. The results included saving 6 hours every pay period, cutting audit preparation by a full week, and reducing reporting time and general ledger complexity while improving accuracy and board-ready financial reporting.
