Ganong Bros. Limited, a long-established Canadian manufacturer of gift box chocolates, fruit snacks, and confectionery, needed a better way to manage profitability, order fulfillment, and promotions than its heavily customized HP3000-based system could provide. The company evaluated multiple ERP options with IBM Global Services and chose Net at Work’s Sage ERP X3 as a mid-market solution that better fit its hybrid batch and discrete manufacturing needs.

Net at Work helped implement Sage ERP X3 in two phases, starting with core ERP functions and then adding advanced planning tools, workflow, and web capabilities. The new system improved billing accuracy, reduced invoice errors, enhanced profitability reporting, and increased the accuracy and timeliness of production data. Ganong also saw immediate benefits from the integrated data collection module at go-live, and later used finite capacity planning to optimize resources and production scheduling.
