One of the largest energy providers in the U.S.—serving millions of customers across hundreds of thousands of transmission lines—faced a critical visibility challenge as it pushed multiple migrations and digital transformation projects. With complex, distributed IT teams supporting cloud migrations to Azure, a SIP VoIP contact center upgrade, and a data-center modernization to leaf/spine architecture, the company needed to ensure uninterrupted service and quickly identify root causes across a vast, diverse network and application estate.
Working with NETSCOUT, the company deployed nGeniusONE, Virtual nGeniusONE, InfiniStreamNG, vSTREAM, PFOS and nGeniusPULSE to provide packet capture, synthetic testing, and unified monitoring across cloud and data-center environments. The solution delivered visibility to about 90% of relevant traffic, reduced mean time to repair through baselining and alerting, improved cross-team triage and vendor handoffs, and strengthened overall service assurance for customers.
