A NETSCOUT Case Study
A public school district serving more than 50 schools — a long-time NETSCOUT customer — used CARES Act funds to address connectivity, bandwidth and monitoring gaps exposed when the COVID-19 pandemic forced 100% remote learning. The district needed to ensure reliable access to its Student Information System and Webex, make VPNs and cloud services (Azure, Dell VxRail) visible, support Chromebook and wireless edges, and quickly distinguish network, application, or security issues to preserve instructional time.
NETSCOUT’s nGeniusONE service assurance, InfiniStreamNG appliances, vSTREAM virtual appliances and nGenius Packet Flow Switches were deployed across the data center, DMZ, cloud and network edge to aggregate packet and “smart” data for end‑user experience analytics. The solution delivered pervasive visibility and application performance monitoring, faster isolation and resolution of problems (reduced MTTR), improved capacity planning and bandwidth management, and a more consistent experience for teachers and remote students.
