Pharmaceutical Organization Endures Business Losses Due to Lack of DDoS Protection

A US-based pharmaceutical manufacturer of prescription drugs across several therapeutic areas believed it was not a DDoS target because it did not run an e-commerce site and had no known prior incidents. As industry DDoS activity rose, the organization—already a NETSCOUT service assurance customer—faced growing risk from unseen volumetric, application-layer and encrypted threats that could disrupt critical services and business productivity.
