Carrollton City Schools, a five-school district in Carrollton, GA serving about 4,600 students, struggled with recurring network and application performance issues. Existing monitoring tools only raised alerts without diagnosing root causes, leaving the small IT team to spend weeks chasing problems and putting a planned BYOD rollout at risk.

The district deployed NetScout’s OptiView XG network analysis tablet, which delivered end-to-end visibility, pinpointed problems (such as DNS misconfigurations and infected devices) and recommended fixes. As a result, the IT team now resolves issues much faster, has retired other monitoring tools, uses OptiView XG for baseline metrics and reporting, and has improved overall network reliability for the BYOD initiative.
