Mexican Government Agency SAE Massively Boosts Network and Application Visibility with End-to-End Monitoring and Diagnosis, Saving Significant Time and Money

The Servicio de Administración y Enajenación de Bienes (SAE) is a Mexican federal agency that manages and disposes of government assets and runs nationwide auction services. With a sprawling IT footprint—three main sites, a data center and 13 regional offices linked via an MPLS WAN—SAE struggled with limited end-to-end visibility, frequent application and auction portal delays, manual trial‑and‑error troubleshooting, and long mean time to know/repair (MTTK/MTTR), all while needing robust reporting to meet government procurement and operational requirements.

SAE implemented NETSCOUT’s nGeniusONE platform with InfiniStream and the nGenius UC Server (with reseller support), using real‑time dashboards, session and packet analysis and ASI intelligence. The tools quickly identified an antivirus-signature update pattern that was saturating MPLS bandwidth; rescheduling updates resolved the issue. The deployment cut MTTK/MTTR from days to minutes/hours, improved UC and application visibility, streamlined reporting and troubleshooting, and delivered measurable cost savings and productivity gains.
