This major U.S. insurer — supporting government employees with medical PPO, dental, vision and wellness services and staffed by more than 1,500 employees — began migrating key subscriber-facing applications to Microsoft Azure and quickly found its existing monitoring lacked visibility into the cloud. Network and application teams could not simultaneously troubleshoot Azure, network, and application performance, creating risk that outages or slowdowns could delay critical customer care and benefits access.
To close those gaps the company deployed NETSCOUT’s nGeniusONE service assurance platform with InfiniStreamNG appliances in its primary and DR data centers and vSTREAM virtual appliances in Azure, providing smart data and analytics for both north–south and east–west traffic. The result was faster mean-time-to-repair, improved confidence in cloud and on‑prem performance, better capacity planning, and more reliable end-to-end service delivery across web portals, call centers, and help-desk systems.
