Global Technology Company Leverages NETSCOUT’s Solution to Assure Client’s IoT Experience

A global, publicly traded technology company that provides packet core connectivity and data services for 2G–5G networks faced rapidly rising IoT traffic and the need to expand monitoring across new regional and commercial data centers. The division needed to ensure continuous, secure availability for mobile and static IoT devices, associate control and data plane traffic for roaming sessions, and improve visibility into critical services (DNS, RADIUS/DIAMETER, billing) all the way to the network edge.

To address this, the IT team deployed NETSCOUT’s service assurance platform—nGeniusONE, InfiniStreamNG appliances, nGenius Session Analyzer, and Professional Services—using a COTS model in two new data centers and additional nGeniusONE instances. The unified packet-level visibility sped troubleshooting and lowered MTTR, enabled precise identification of failed sessions and security vs. performance issues, supported geographic load balancing without breaking session context, and delivered scalable, cost-effective monitoring that protected revenue-generating IoT services.
