Global Fashion Retailer Reduces MTTR with NETSCOUT

A global U.S.-based fashion retailer with thousands of stores in nearly 100 countries, 140,000 employees, and over $12 billion in annual revenue struggled with frequent e-commerce outages, payment authorization and VoIP failures, chronic network outages and high mean-time-to-repair (MTTR). Homegrown monitoring tools lacked end-to-end visibility across applications, network and voice services, putting revenue and customer experience at risk—especially during peak shopping seasons.

The IT team deployed NETSCOUT TruView Central appliances with FlowView and VoIPView and NetFlow visibility across data centers, stores and distribution centers to map transactions end-to-end and pinpoint whether issues originated at the client, server or network. This eliminated long war-room investigations, dramatically reduced MTTR and mean-time-to-information, improved capacity planning and WAN utilization visibility, and ensured more reliable checkout, voice and e-commerce performance during busy periods—protecting revenue and improving customer experience.
