Big Data Services Provider Uses NETSCOUT Omnis Cyber Intelligence in AWS for Full Visibility and Enhance Security Posture

Forte Data Solutions, a managed services firm specializing in big data, cloud and database architecture, faced repeated compromises of its corporate WordPress site (the “Pharma Hack”) that redirected search traffic to malicious pages. With limited diagnostic support from their prior host and a need to avoid refactoring their site, Forte moved to self-hosting in AWS and sought a real‑time, proactive monitoring solution to regain visibility and protect their brand.

Forte deployed NETSCOUT Omnis Cyber Intelligence (OCI) and CyberStream sensors in a dedicated AWS Security VPC, using traffic mirroring via GWLB endpoints and NETSCOUT Smart Data infused with the ATLAS threat feed to collect packets, metadata, IoCs and behavioral signals. The deployment delivered full traffic visibility (including visitor geography, connection and transaction profiles), faster detection and investigation, reduced MTTR, and a shift from reactive incident response to proactive threat hunting and breach tracing.
