Banpará Grows and Adopts NETSCOUT to Ensure Quality of Services

Banpará, the state-owned bank of Pará, Brazil, rapidly expanded from 42 branches in 2011 to 144 by 2018 across a vast, decentralized state. That growth—and the move from low‑speed links to a 10 Gbps fiber network—created a need to modernize infrastructure and deploy proactive monitoring to maintain service quality, enable new digital channels, and prevent outages as traffic and services scaled.

Banpará implemented NETSCOUT’s nGeniusONE platform with InfiniStreamNG, vSTREAM, packet flow switches and TAPs to gain full traffic visibility and analytics across physical and virtual environments. The solution delivered proactive detection of degradations, near‑100% availability during high‑demand events (e.g., a major book fair with 200+ POS devices), enabled internet banking and new services, and provided scalable monitoring to support ongoing expansion.
