A Net Atlantic Case Study
The Elijah List, a two-decade-old Christian news and advertising publisher that sends more than 50 million emails per month to hundreds of thousands of subscribers, faced a sudden decline in deliverability that threatened engagement and ad revenue. Their then-ESP used a limited set of server IPs and throttled large sends, causing mailings to take up to three hours, inconsistent delivery timing, and exposure to shared-server blacklists—while support for blacklist issues was slow. The Elijah List revisited its prior provider, Net Atlantic, to resolve these problems.
Net Atlantic rehosted The Elijah List’s two daily mailings across a larger bank of sending servers, provided hands-on technical support and content/delivery analysis, and eliminated the batching/throttling that had delayed sends. Within one week Net Atlantic completed the ramp-up, cut send times from nearly three hours to under 30 minutes, improved deliverability and reduced blacklist impact, and helped restore consistent reader engagement and ad revenue.
