Velocity EU, a UK-based specialist in managed remote computing and unified communications (including its Velocity Cloud Desktop offering), faced an urgent challenge at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic: help customers like BSix Brooke House College — roughly 1,400 students and 200 staff — move from on‑premises desktops and a legacy PBX to a scalable cloud remote‑learning environment almost instantly. To meet tight timelines and minimize cost and complexity, Velocity EU partnered with Nerdio and adopted Nerdio Manager for Enterprise to automate large‑scale Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments.

Using Nerdio Manager for Enterprise, Velocity EU migrated BSix’s applications and teaching resources to AVD and SharePoint, transitioned telephony to a cloud PBX, and procured and deployed 300 student and 200 staff laptops.
