Canada’s Equitable Bank Leverages Nerdio for Its Digital Transformation Journey

Equitable Bank, Canada’s Challenger Bank™, needed to modernize remote access after pandemic-driven growth exposed limits in its VPN and terminal-server setup. Working with its MSP and Microsoft, the bank adopted Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and engaged Nerdio, deploying Nerdio Manager for Enterprise to manage and optimize the new virtual desktop environment.

Nerdio’s Auto-scaling and automation let IT turn VMs on and off with demand, delivering a 74% monthly compute savings during the POC and enabling a full rollout now supporting about 1,900 end users. By using Nerdio, Equitable Bank reduced complexity, strengthened security, cut energy and cloud costs, and gained week-by-week Azure consumption visibility to better align IT with business growth.
