Mercury, an Ireland-based construction and engineering contractor operating across Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Central Europe, needed a better way to manage time tracking and job-site productivity across complex projects. Their foremen were relying on manual processes and phone calls instead of SAP, creating low visibility into labor allocations, delays in data access, and extra administrative effort. Mercury turned to Neptune Software to help build mobile solutions that could work across SAP Materials Management, HR, Finance, and Project Systems, including in environments with limited connectivity.

Using Neptune Software’s low-code platform, Mercury quickly delivered bespoke mobile apps for site foremen to review, allocate, and update hours directly from Android and iOS devices, with online and offline capability. The initial pilot launched with 5 foremen and 40 crew members, and training took just two hours. The result was fully digital productivity tracking, faster workflows, immediate access to daily shift summaries, and improved budget visibility—users reported the apps were easy to learn and use, with results described as “perfect.”
