Case Study: Ministry of National Education achieves scalable, high-performance nationwide exam digitization with Neotys (NeoLoad)

With NeoLoad, National Education places performance testing at the heart of its process of integration and continuous deployment

The French Ministry of National Education developed Santorin, an application to digitize and distribute exam copies nationwide that must ultimately support roughly 3 million candidates and up to 30 million copies per year. Because Santorin faces very large, bursty transaction volumes (initial test targets included 1,500 sites and 250,000 copies in a 1–4 hour window), rigorous load and end-to-end testing was required before broad rollout; a staged test campaign exercised the system across 800 sites and 150,000 copies.

The teams deployed NeoLoad integrated into a Docker/Kubernetes microservices platform and Jenkins-based CI to run realistic, automated performance tests earlier and continuously. NeoLoad’s rapid, end-to-end simulations and easy adoption let developers and ops run daily and per-release tests, enabling faster releases, scalable infrastructure, and a nationwide deployment of the application without performance issues.
