The Renault Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance sets up a performance testing platform for the connected vehicle using NeoLoad

The Renault–Nissan–Mitsubishi Alliance faced a major performance challenge as millions of connected vehicles—each generating thousands of daily transactions—were added to its products and services. Ensuring safety and reliability at global scale required realistic load testing across a heterogeneous stack (cloud platforms, APIs, MQTT with mutual certificates, double authentication, mobile and embedded components) to simulate massive, geo-distributed vehicle traffic before cars reached users.

Using NeoLoad, teams simulated large, multi‑regional fleets, reproduced complex protocol transactions, generated test data, scheduled updates, and integrated monitoring (Dynatrace) to validate end-to-end behavior. This approach exposed bottlenecks early, drove code and infrastructure optimizations, enabled collaboration across regions, and scaled testing capacity from tens of thousands to one million virtual vehicles, improving reliability for connected services.
