Nu Skin leverages NeoLoad to launch new e-commerce site to support 25,000 orders per minute

Nu Skin, a global anti-aging company selling through stores, distributors and an e-commerce site, faced a critical scalability problem: its 11‑year‑old online platform could not handle high‑traffic events such as limited time offers, leading to database “inventory locking” and a backend queue that left as many as 20,000 customers waiting. With launches in China approaching, Nu Skin needed to ensure the new site could support peaks of 20–25,000 orders per minute and provide a seamless customer experience.

Working with consultant Kumaran, Nu Skin adopted NeoLoad for fast, scriptless load testing and agentless monitoring, rapidly identifying bottlenecks and deploying hotfixes before launch. The result: the queue was eliminated (20,000 waiting → 0), inventory locking and Oracle form errors were resolved, the new global e‑commerce site handled peak loads successfully, and ongoing capacity planning and Agile delivery were enabled.
