BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee, a large health benefits provider serving over 3.3 million people, launched a DevOps and continuous delivery initiative but found performance testing to be a major bottleneck. Their legacy tool, LoadRunner, was complex, slow, and resource-intensive, causing multi-day test turnarounds, compressed release windows, and occasional omission of proper performance testing — all of which threatened delivery speed and software quality.

After a proof-of-concept, BCBST adopted NeoLoad to shift performance testing left and integrate it into their IBM UrbanCode CI/CD pipeline.
