Abercrombie & Fitch Co., a specialty fashion retailer with over 900 stores and 40+ eCommerce sites, needed a cost-effective, scalable way to run realistic performance and holiday peak-load tests. Their legacy tool became prohibitively expensive at high virtual-user counts, produced false positives, and demanded heavy script maintenance across roughly 80 scripts—putting site performance and brand reputation at risk during critical peak periods.
In 2010 A&F adopted NeoLoad, gaining scalable load generation and much simpler scripting. Since then peak order-volume tests have met success every year, scripting and maintenance time fell by over 80% (from seven days to one), testing now runs year-round, and the team has improved tuning, organizational visibility, and the ability to catch and fix issues—while moving toward deeper CI/DevOps integration.
