Littleton Public Schools centralizes content across 32 schools with Neon Rain Interactive

Littleton Public Schools, a district serving over 15,000 students, needed a new website that was easy to manage and integrated with their mobile app. Their key challenge was providing each of their 25 schools and 7 alternative programs the autonomy to customize their individual sites while maintaining centralized district control. They approached vendor Neon Rain Interactive to design and build this solution.

Neon Rain implemented a Drupal-based multi-site installation, creating a central content management system with customizable templates for each school. They also developed an invaluable school locator tool using MongoDB and Google Maps to help parents and realtors determine school boundaries. This solution reduced the number of calls to LPS offices for lookups. Neon Rain delivered a flexible, scalable platform that met the district's complex needs for both decentralization and central management.
