United Way of San Diego County Brings $41,000 in Attendance Based Funding Back to School Sites

United Way of San Diego County enlisted Neon One to help its Every Student Every Day initiative tackle chronic absenteeism. Confronted with more than 58,000 chronically absent students in 2018–2019 and the need to identify at‑risk students across 16 school sites, interns and program leads needed a system to track attendance, case notes, and community resources—so they deployed Neon One’s Neon CCM client and case management solution.

Neon One’s Neon CCM centralized attendance and case data, streamlining collection, enabling trend analysis across sites, and improving family-to-resource pairings. As a result, United Way of San Diego County reached 8,000 families, provided individualized support to 300 students, and brought back $41,000 in Average Daily Attendance funding, while boosting on‑time attendance and informing monthly program improvements.
