How Broad Street Ministry Designed a Client & Case Management Solution that Tracks 71,000+ People and Services

Broad Street Ministry is an alternative church community in Philadelphia that provides meals, overnight shelter, social services and donated goods to vulnerable residents — serving roughly 70,000 guests a year. As services, volunteers and supporters grew, spreadsheets and off‑the‑shelf systems couldn’t keep up; Broad Street Ministry needed an intuitive client and case management solution. The organization worked with Neon One (Neon Giving Days is listed among the Neon One solutions used) while implementing a tailored system to meet their unique workflows and language needs.

With support from Neon One and a custom CiviCore implementation, Broad Street Ministry built a single, flexible client & case management system that uses personalized language (e.g., “Concierges” and inclusive gender labels) and unified workflows. The new system enables accurate tracking of 71,000+ interactions (including 71,000 meals served last year), daily support for 400+ people, and management of 3,000+ volunteers, giving Broad Street Ministry measurable program and case outcomes to share with partners and funders.
