A Neo4j Case Study
Webtic, founded by Paul Jongsma, builds user-facing web solutions and back-end systems that rely on rich relationships between entities. On a history-education project that linked people, locations and events, their relational database became slow and unresponsive as the dataset and queries grew, forcing technical compromises that limited what customers could request.
Webtic switched to Neo4j, where Cypher made graph modeling intuitive and development fast. The graph approach removed RDBMS constraints, let the team evolve the data model easily, fulfill more customer requirements, and boost productivity; they are now migrating their data to Neo4j and exploring further optimizations in newer releases.
