Price Comparison Site Wobi Builds Whole Customer Understanding with Neo4j

Wobi is an Israeli price-comparison website with about 500,000 customers and millions of monthly visitors that helps users compare pensions, insurance and other financial products. To deliver compelling “value offers” it needed a single, fast way to build a detailed, tree-like financial profile for each customer (accounts, policies, family data, history) and to rapidly drill down into that data in real time.

Wobi implemented Neo4j as its core customer database, modeling customers as nodes with relationships for products and history (e.g., “latest”/“previous”), enabling single-lookups of entire customer trees. The graph approach delivered much higher performance (about 5x faster than MySQL and able to process ~1M relationships/sec), now handling 500k customers with ~4M nodes and 30M relationships, consolidating customer data for real-time offers and scalable growth.
