Pivotal - Customer Case Study

Pivotal used Neo4j in a project called “Navigating All the Knowledge” to combine Wikidata and Wikipedia and enable semantic navigation of articles. The challenge was handling a very large knowledge graph and making it fast and easy to query, using Spring and Cloud Foundry alongside Neo4j.

Neo4j provided the graph database foundation for the solution, storing 11 million nodes and 74 million relationships. Pivotal reported extremely fast query performance, with simple Cypher queries delivering results quickly even at that scale, and noted that Neo4j’s import tools could have further reduced implementation effort.
