A Neo4j Case Study
Dooloo is an e‑health company that created the first online platform dedicated to people living with chronic pain. Faced with the need to synthesize vast, heterogeneous data — medical records, prescriptions, treatment research and patient behaviors — the team found relational databases too rigid to support the personalized, context-rich recommendations patients and caregivers require.
Dooloo adopted a Neo4j-based knowledge graph, developed through an Innovation Lab and iterative property-graph modeling, to import and connect diverse data quickly. The result is dynamic patient knowledge graphs that guide patients to tailored educational modules and coping strategies and help clinicians choose effective treatments; trials are underway and Dooloo plans to add AI-driven graph analytics for even more personalized, predictive recommendations.
