Digitate, a TCS venture, builds ignio—an AI platform that automates and optimizes complex business and IT operations such as data centers and ERP-driven processes. To predict and prevent incidents it needed a core data store that could model vast numbers of entities and their interrelationships (hundreds of thousands to millions of nodes and relationships) and retain large volumes of historical production data; its existing PostgreSQL setup could not meet the required performance, scalability or query patterns.

After evaluating graph approaches, Digitate selected Neo4j for its performance, scalability, rich relationship modeling and strong community support. Neo4j is now the central store for ignio’s customer models, enabling the platform’s cognitive automation and award‑winning predictive capabilities at any scale—capabilities Digitate says would have been impossible with an RDBMS or other solutions.
