Billes Makes a Fluid Technical Transition to Digitalization in the Printing Industry with Neo4j

Billes is a family-owned full-service printing house (founded 1939) with offices in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Karlstad and about SEK 200M in annual sales. As the business shifted from product to solution sales and grew through acquisitions, Billes faced a patchwork of IT systems and a logistical challenge: handle large volumes of small web orders and provide customers real-time information without heavy manual intervention.

Working with NetConsult, Billes built Poff — a Neo4j-based planning, ordering, shipping and billing hub that connects existing systems for a gradual, fluid transition. Poff automates order flow end-to-end, links roughly 40 external systems, runs on mirrored instances for high availability, and has reduced manual handling so that about 60% of orders now process automatically while enabling real-time pricing and a planned open online shop.
