A Neo4j Case Study
Die Bayerische, a Munich-based insurer with over 150 years of history, needed a fast, reliable way for advisors and call-centre staff to access consistent customer and contract information. Their legacy, heterogeneous contract-management systems and varied data formats caused slow batch processing and downtime, making it hard to provide a single, always-available view at the point of sale.
Working with iS2, Die Bayerische implemented Bay4all on a Neo4j graph database to model contracts and relationships naturally, avoiding costly JOINs and improving query performance. The new system delivers inventory data across touchpoints with average response times of 1–2 seconds, near-24/7 availability, greatly reduced downtime, and scalable support for ~400 users.
