Case Study: Die Bayerische achieves 1–2 second contract lookups and near-24/7 availability with Neo4j

A Neo4j Case Study

Preview of the Die Bayerische Case Study

An overview of all contract information in a matter of seconds thanks to Neo4j

Die Bayerische, a Munich-based insurer with a 150‑year history, needed fast, consistent access to customer and contract information across sales and service channels. Its legacy landscape of heterogeneous management systems and batch-driven processes made it difficult to present a single, up‑to‑date view of inventory at the point of sale, so the company commissioned iS2 to deliver a standardized, always‑available data framework.

iS2 developed the Bay4all field‑staff solution on the Neo4j graph database to model contracts, people and their relationships directly, synchronizing data from multiple host systems. The result is a stable, scalable system with average query response times of 1–2 seconds, near‑24/7 availability for roughly 400 users, and greatly reduced downtime while providing the flexibility to grow and support future channels.
