Galeries Lafayette, the French retail group behind brands including Galeries Lafayette and BHV Marais, needed to redesign its financial management system to standardize reporting and budget preparation across department stores. The company faced complex consolidated financial performance views due to heterogeneous analytical baselines, changing calculation methods, and the need for a single accessible baseline for controllers. Vendor Nell’Armonia supported the project using Oracle Essbase and Oracle Hyperion Planning.

Nell’Armonia first framed the target processes and split the implementation into two phases: reporting, then budget preparation. The first phase was delivered in 4 months and the second 3 months later, with training, e-learning, and a stress test to secure deployment. The result was homogeneous and reliable reporting, faster reporting production deadlines, improved user adoption, alignment with SAP baselines, and more fluid evolution of the ERP and EPM financial systems.
