Building the budget in Target Setting mode with CCH Tagetik

Sodexo, a global leader in quality of life services operating in 80 countries with 427,000 employees, needed to transform its budgeting approach as the company shifted from a country-based model to one organized around business lines and markets. To support this change, Sodexo chose Nell’Armonia’s CCH Tagetik solution to move away from a highly detailed bottom-up process toward a more business-driven target setting approach.

Nell’Armonia implemented CCH Tagetik in two agile stages, delivering forecast capabilities in March 2018 and the budget in May 2018. The solution enabled top-down and bottom-up planning, three forecasts per year, automated actuals from HFM, and corporate cost reallocation, and after five months it was in use by 400 users. The result was a 50% reduction in budget and forecast production effort, stronger workflow visibility, and better financial communication through new performance indicators.
