SONATA Finance (P) Ltd, a microfinance NBFC focused on serving poor women through Joint Liability Groups and individual loans, needed a unified core microfinance platform to replace its legacy systems. The company was facing gaps in central portfolio management, financial accounting, statutory reporting, fund management, NPA management, asset-liability management, and mobile field operations, while also looking for automated Aadhaar-based customer onboarding and stronger regulatory compliance. Nelito Systems Ltd. implemented a scalable, integrated solution covering customer onboarding, portfolio management, accounting, DMS, SHG/JLG workflows, mobility, and third-party integrations such as Aadhaar e-KYC, credit rating, insurance, and bank APIs. The project was completed in 8 months, with 300 staff trained in one month and 110 field agents enabled. As a result, SONATA Finance reduced customer onboarding and lending TAT from 3 days to 3 minutes, improved real-time accounting and cash management, lowered manual effort and costs, strengthened risk mitigation through instant insurance activation, and achieved full regulatory compliance.
