Accredited Social Health Activist (ASHA), part of India’s National Rural Health Mission (NRHM), needed a better way to manage a statewide program spread across thousands of villages in Maharashtra. The program was struggling with manual data collection, delayed incentive payments, slow communication of revised compensation rates and new schemes, limited transparency, and difficulty tracking the performance of more than 60,000 ASHAs. Nelito Systems Ltd. was selected to implement a web-based ASHA management solution built on the Microsoft platform.

Nelito Systems Ltd. delivered a cloud-based application with hierarchy-based access for state, district, and tahasil users, online databases, MIS reporting, payment tracking, and secure data management. The system enabled faster updates to compensation and schemes, improved transparency, and made ASHA performance visible across the state for timely action. It was implemented across 33 districts and helped establish 39,820 Village Health Nutrition and Water Supply & Sanitation Committees, while also supporting training and recognition of high-performing ASHAs.
